Dune London chooses Springfields for new store opening
12th June 2020
- Dune London and Lazy Jacks to open brand-new outlet stores at Springfields this summer
- Lazy Jacks to make its UK outlet debut
- New openings mark positive signs for outlet fashion and footwear post-lockdown
Prestigious fashion footwear brand, Dune London, will open a brand new store in a prime position in Springfields Outlet, the leading retail and leisure destination in the East of England, post-lockdown, after completing a major top-spec shop fit. The scheme has also signed the fast-growing British lifestyle brand, Lazy Jacks, who will open their first ever outlet.
International retailer, Dune London, is to open a 1280 sq ft unit which will offer its stylish ranges of men’s and women’s footwear and accessories at up to 70 per cent off the RRP. Having opened its first store in London in 1993, it now has stores across the UK and overseas, seeing significant growth in the Middle East, Switzerland and India in recent years.
British fashion retailer, Lazy Jacks, is set to open a 911 sq ft unit. Inspired by the British Devon coast, the new outlet store at Springfields will offer its collections of timeless menswear, womenswear and children’s wear at up to 70 per cent off the RRP.
The openings of Dune London and Lazy Jacks will enhance the existing fashion offer at Springfields, joining complementary premium fashion and accessory brands including Joules, Radley London, Jack Wills, Skechers and Crew Clothing Company.
Springfields is uniquely designed, blending leisure and retail in a fully integrated way, and is well positioned and prepared for a successful re-emergence from lockdown.
Springfields is an outdoor centre with 50 outlet stores set in 25 acres of beautiful Festival Gardens, with children’s leisure attractions, extensive F&B, a Blue Diamond Home & Garden centre, a hotel and even a water taxi that links Spalding Town Centre with Springfields.
Despite the uncertain times for all during lockdown, Springfields record of new lettings, renewals and brand investments has helped secure these new signings.
Positioned just off the A16 near Spalding, Lincs, Springfields is the only outlet destination serving East Anglia and the East of England. It has enjoyed 15 years of consecutive turnover growth, and many of the best-performing retailers in their class. Dynamic asset management has secured 16 deals in 18 months, including two during lockdown.
Ian Sanderson, Director of SLR Asset Management, said: “The two new signings of Dune London and Lazy Jacks demonstrate significant ongoing interest in Springfields and further illustrates its resilience. Both brands are welcome additions to our ever-growing offer, joining Radley London, Joules and other high-profile fashion brands. This uncertain period has been tough on all retailers including us, but we haven’t rested. Signing Dune London and Lazy Jacks during the lockdown is testament to our strength and the appeal of Springfields.”
Zoe Brooks, Retail Director at Dune London, said: “Springfields has everything we need to build our brand. A great catchment with very loyal customers who match our profile perfectly. We are an ambitious and successful brand and it’s good to be in the company of others like us.”
